Training for Adult Ski Racers in Michigan
February 1, 2012. Some updates about Boyne: training can be on Superbowl or North Boyne, depending on snow conditions and possible other events (CUSSA). When training is on North Boyne, the time might be earlier to avoid conflicting with NASTAR. Please call the Boyne Snowsports desk on Friday afternoon to verify training time and location (Superbowl or North Boyne).
Boyne Mountain: Masters Training
Besides hosting most of our races, Boyne Mountain provides training through the Snowsports Academy, with Coach Gary Konzsa.
All training is on either Super Bowl or North Boyne. It's a good idea to check ahead of time with the Mountain Snowsports Academy if the location affects your parking choice.
Weekend training is usually 10-12; however, it is sometimes earlier to avoid conflicting with other events. Check with the Snowsports desk to confirm the time.
Friday training (the day before a race weekend) is 2-4 in the afternoon.

Please Give Us Information
For this page to truly be a clearinghouse of information, we need ... information. If you know of alpine race training programs that are available for adult skiers in the Michigan area, please contact Mike Sayers to post the information.
Where can grown-ups run gates? The opportunities range from nightly gate training at local ski areas to western ski camps organized for Michigan-area racers. This page describes the main regional opportunities.
