Greetings MACC racers,
The Race is on!!!
We will be racing both GS and Slalom on Superbowl this weekend due to lack of snow depth at the FIS start shack. 96 racers are registered and ready to go! A great turnout of racers during this COVID year.
Your MACC Executive Board members, Directors and Race Reps have been in communication since last spring and through the summer and fall in order to pull this COVID race season together with quality and safety being the hallmark of every decision that has been made on your behalf.
Apparel Store is a NO-GO
Bad vendor mojo. Last minute additional fees made it not feasible for this year.
Limited access to Othmar
• Registration and work assignment sign-up hours will be 8:00-9:15am and 11:30-noon
• All you last minute registration racers, these Othmar hours apply to you as well.

Important updates from Dennis Parrot, Director of Course Operations:
NEW WORKER CHECK-IN PROCEDURE
All gate judges and course operations workers will need to check in with the outside starter prior to starting their job. This will allow you to get credit for working. (Note: the outside starter will have a clipboard so look for that person!)
All workers who used to fill out a "green card" that would get turned in to get work credit no longer need to do so. You get credit by checking in with the starter.
NEW MACC GATE JUDGE CARD
MACC has a new gate judge card. This card is radically different from our past gate judge cards because it REQUIRES diagrams for every fault (DSQ) that gets recorded. Similar faults can share a single diagram. For instance, if in your section of gates there were several people who straddled a gate each straddle could be noted on one gate diagram.
Also note that the sides of the card are labeled "Run 1" and "Run 2". Please make sure to use the correct side to record your DSQs. Run 1 DSQs and Run 2 DSQs should not appear on the same side of the card!
Further information on how to record the information on your gate judge card can be found (temporarily) at this location on the web:

Please take a few minutes to review the information about our new gate judge card.
Keep socially distant, but remain social!
Grace Patti of the Skiwi clan has done a great job as my assistant for all social media. Thanks, Grace for offering your expertise and willingness to spread the MACC word digitally.
We have established a dedicated facebook page which will be used for real-time updates and critical information. Only MACC administrators can post. We are also on Instagram.
