We're Done for 2008

April 7. Here is the new design for the web site. The intent is that everything that was in the old version is still here. We're hoping that it will be easier for new racers to find things, and easier in the long run to extend the site to include more information.

Comments? Concerns? Please tell the web guy, Mike Sayers: msayers@carsim.com

March 10. All results are posted for 2008, including upgrades and most improved.

Feb 4. Tom Lining and Art Ellwanger are shooting hundreds of photos. See the new gallery at racemacc.smugmug.com.

Jan 21. Welcome to the newest racing team, GSPS Racing, from Ann Arbor.

MACC Racing: Who We Are

The Michigan Alpine Competition Council (MACC) is a non-profit organization made of amateur ski racers who work as volunteers to run the main Alpine ski racing program for adults in the Michigan region.

Our race series covers 12 races over five weekends each year at Boyne Mountain and at Searchmont. It's open to virtually all adult recreational racers and also 15, 16, and 17-year old children of MACC racers.

You race in a class based on ability and gender. Ability groups with lots of racers are further divided by age. Most races are FIS slalom and giant slalom. However, we also have a genuine super-G and a dual slalom race.

Please see the Program and Join sections for more information.

Adgate: see commentary from our olympian ex-World Cup racer @ the Boyne web site blog.

Reviews: see reviews from some of our newer racers.

Video: Boyne has a weekly video, that features at least 2 MACC races from 2007. Jim Neff and the Michigan Skier crew made a 7-minute video showing a MACC weekend.
